Wish you could think like a cat? Wish no more. The Meow Mix Acatemy opened up in New York, helping people understand cats. Listen, as a cat, I’ll be honest, if you could hear our inner thoughts, they would be:

  • Wow, litter is clean today.
  • Pay attention to me?
  • I can has tuna?

That’s it. Nothing fancy. I love this quip from Mayor Bloomberg from the article:

Even the most seasoned cat owner must admit that it sometimes seems as if our feline friends are speaking a different language – which is why the understanding generated by the Meow Mix Acatemy is good news for two- and four-legged New Yorkers alike.

Not much more needs to be said about this, but at the very end of the clip, why is the cat wearing a bib?

Phinny, a male tortoise shell cat was found in San Diego. This is actually an incredibly rare find, as males only occur as a genetic anomaly — most tortoise shell cats are female. Only about 1:3,000 being male.

This video of 130 cats in an apartment in Russia has to be seen to be believed. I think this violates Stephen the Dog’s 3:1 rule of cat insanity.

A cat is kidnapped, taken overseas, and released. The owner received an anonymous letter with a map to where the cat was left. This is just weird, both for the extremes the perpetrator went to, as well as the detail with which the owner was notified.
